Zakir Durumeric

Zakir Durumeric is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University. His research brings a large-scale, empirical approach to the study of security, abuse, and misinformation on the Internet. In particular, he is interested in building systems to measure complex networked ecosystems and using the resulting perspective to understand online behavior, uncover weaknesses, architect more resilient approaches, and guide policy decisions. His work has received multiple IETF Applied Networking Research Prizes, a Google Security and Privacy Research Award, a Google Faculty Award, and Best Paper distinctions from USENIX Security Symposium, ACM Computer and Communication Security (CCS), and ACM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan in 2017.
