“This Call May Be Recorded” Heads to the 2025 Tribeca Festival

We’re thrilled to share that This Call May Be Recorded—developed with support from a Brown Institute Magic Grant—has been named an official selection in the 2025 Tribeca Festival’s Audio Storytelling competition. The series will make its world‑premiere appearance in New York City June 10‑14, joining an eclectic lineup that spotlights the most inventive new work in narrative audio.

Created by Emmy‑ and Peabody‑winning journalist Habiba Nosheen and veteran producer Theo Balcomb, the podcast tackles the modern customer‑service labyrinth with equal parts investigative grit and comic relief. Each episode turns real billing blunders, robot chat loops, and corporate runarounds into suspenseful, laugh‑out‑loud capers that end with a satisfying win for the caller—and a universal sigh of relief for anyone who’s ever been trapped on hold.

Ticket details and podcast release dates will follow soon, but in the meantime, congratulations to Habiba and Theo on the big success!
