Reporting Fellowship Opportunity with Richemont North America + Brown

CSR Fellowship. The Brown Institute and the Richemont North America, Inc. (“RNA”), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee are running a pilot fellowship program offering one grad student the opportunity to be a fellow at RNA headquarters in New York City for 10 weeks.

Scope of Work. The reporting/research fellow will examine how luxury companies (or adjacent industries) are making their businesses sustainable. RNA has made a commitment to achieving five of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

An ideal candidate has Journalism training and experience in working with data. Candidates should also have a basic understanding of business analytics. A range of topics are open to research, from the environmental footprint of day to day operations of these businesses, looking at their use of Renewable Energy and techniques for reducing carbon emissions and plastic packaging. The outcome will be a research report, journalistic in style, highlighting both what companies are doing, and where there are opportunities for RNA in particular to fulfill its commitment to the SDGs by 2030. A successful report will be data-oriented, leveraging data analysis and novel applications of data visualization. 

The candidate will report to RNA, but be jointly advised and supported by RNA and staff at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation. 

Date Range & Rate. 10 weeks, starting as early as July 15, 2021 – at a rate of $10,000 for the duration of the fellowship.
