Miles McCain is an undergraduate at Stanford building Atlos, an open source platform for visual investigations. Miles has worked on trust and safety at the Stanford Internet Observatory, privacy engineering at Apple, and election security at CISA. His projects, research, and commentary have appeared in several outlets including the New York Times, the Washington Post, NBC News, TIME, Foreign Affairs, Brookings TechStream, and the Nightly News with Lester Holt. Miles teaches CS 106S (Coding for Social Good) at Stanford, and is the maintainer of several open source projects.
