I’m a Columbia J-School grad based in San Francisco. After studying economics and finance, I did a short stint on Wall Street before turning to journalism. I joined Bloomberg News when it was an upstart outfit, just launching a global newsroom. I ended up staying for three decades, reporting, editing and managing teams in large and small bureaus including Singapore. Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. I also did stints in newsroom training, product development and software design. In my last gig there, I developed an elite team of editors who swooped into big stories to help Bloomberg’s army of specialized reporters explain complex topics in the news and broaden their audience. I returned to the U.S. in 2022 and left Bloomberg in 2023. I love to ski and I compete in triathlons in an effort to keep swimming regularly in the majestic San Francisco Bay.
