Hi! I’m Kwame and I originally grew up in Columbus, Ohio, where I was exposed to a range of different languages, histories, and perspectives. I’m a current senior and Master’s student at Stanford overall studying computational social sciences with an emphasis on trying to use what I’ve learnt from my community back home to mitigate biases within current and emergent technologies. While I recognise the undeniable ease that new developments have given us, I also think it’s important to ensure that those tools are as fair and accessible as possible. To that note, I’m also working on another research project dealing with the intersections of psychology, linguistic methods, and AI. When I’m not doing school work I’m generally listening to music (afro-fusion, kr&b, amapiano), watching shows from all over the world, or hanging out with my friends!
