Program Coordinator, Columbia University
Julia Eshaghpour is the Program Coordinator at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation. Prior to this role, she served as Assistant to the Program Coordinator at New York University, where she supported the development of workshops and public lectures, outreach, and grants for the Time-based Media Art Conservation program. Julia has also managed projects for artists Gabriela Salazar, Diana Al-Hadid, and most recently, Maren Hassinger, recipient of a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Women’s Caucus for the Arts, with artwork in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC; the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, NYC; the Smithsonian’s Hirshhorn Museum, among other leading institutions. In addition, Julia is a practicing artist and designer working under the names Tenet and Sunfish. Specific to her work at Brown, she is interested in how innovation in the fields of journalism and media can better help inform our perspective and understanding of the world. Julia holds a BA in Fine Arts with a Minor in English from Macalester College.
