Jennifer Jacobs is a Brown Institute Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, working with Professor Maneesh Agrawala in the Computer Science Department. Her research examines ways to diversify participation and practice in procedural art and computational design by building new creative tools, software, and programming languages for artists and designers. Jennifer received her PhD from the MIT Media Lab in the Lifelong Kindergarten Research Group. She completed a masters of science in the High-Low Tech group at MIT and an MFA in Integrated Media Art from Hunter College. She has conducted craft and technology workshops around the world and her work has been presented at international venues including CHI, SIGGRAPH, Art Basel, and Ars Electronica.
