Job Opportunity – Program Manager role at Columbia

The Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia Journalism School is seeking a Program Manager to help transform storytelling at the intersection of journalism and technology. In this dynamic role, you’ll support our ambitious mission of distributing nearly $1M annually in grants and fellowships while working directly with innovators who are reimagining how stories are told. As operational support to the Institute, you’ll manage everything from coordinating vibrant workshops and conferences to crafting communications that showcase groundbreaking projects, all while collaborating with faculty, students, and partners across Columbia University and beyond.

This is a full-time position and offers the unique opportunity to see the immediate impact of your work on a small, mission-driven team. Based at Columbia’s main campus, you’ll be working with a diverse set of stakeholders, from our grantees to our staff, and building relationships across disciplines with partners within and outside the University. We’re looking for someone with 3-5 years of relevant experience who thrives in fast-paced settings, excels at juggling multiple priorities, and is passionate about the future of journalism.
